NHP has been granted sole distributor rights for Rockwell AutomaƟon products, systems and soluƟons in the South Pacific including Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea. This will be effecƟve from 1 May 2018. Rockwell AutomaƟon Australia and Rockwell AutomaƟon New Zealand are subsidiaries of Rockwell AutomaƟon, Inc.—a leading global provider of industrial automaƟon and informaƟon soluƟons that helps manufacturers achieve a compeƟƟve advantage in their businesses. During April 2018, NHP and Rexel Industrial AutomaƟon will conƟnue to trade as separate enƟƟes whilst the acquisiƟon is formalised. NHP will be in contact with all RIA customers throughout April to ensure a seamless transiƟon of products and services. "We are proud and excited to be expanding our relaƟonship with NHP across the South Pacific region as we work together to further enhance the efficiency of our customers, by delivering smarter, safer and more sustainable operaƟonal outcomes through Rockwell AutomaƟon's Connected Enterprise soluƟons and by providing a simpler model to engage with our businesses," said ScoƩ Wooldridge, Managing Director Australia and New Zealand, Rockwell AutomaƟon. "We would like to thank Rexel for their strong partnership and collaboraƟon over the past 17 years in this region." Orica has announced the release of the new Bulkmaster 7 Mobile Manufacturing Unit (MMU™) designed for use in the Open Cut mining sector. The Bulkmaster 7 is the latest evoluƟon of Orica's market- leading delivery system technology, delivering a leap in producƟvity and safety on bench, and another significant step towards automaƟng drill and blast operaƟons in the future. Orica Group ExecuƟve and President, Australia Pacific & Asia, Darryl Cuzzubbo said that the Bulkmaster 7's significantly increased payload, loadout rates and bin flexibility is fundamental to improving producƟvity, offering a clear compeƟƟve advantage. "We are conƟnually advancing our delivery systems in both underground and surface applicaƟons, and believe that delivery systems form a fundamental building block to providing a superior service to our customers," said Mr Cuzzubbo. The first Bulkmaster 7 unit commenced operaƟon this month at the Fortescue Metals Group Solomon operaƟons, located in the resource rich Pilbara region of Western Australia. By fully integraƟng the Bulkmaster 7 units, combined with advanced operaƟonal services, Orica expects to reduce the number of MMU asset requirements by 30%, delivering explosives safely and efficiently, while reducing the total cost of operaƟon for the mine. Fortescue Chief ExecuƟve Officer, Elizabeth Gaines stated, "Fortescue has a proud history of embracing leading edge technologies and new ideas. We are pleased to be working with Orica on the roll-out of this new technology at our Pilbara operaƟons as part of our constant drive in conƟnuing our producƟvity and efficiency improvements." The significant performance improvements have been achieved through a series of technical innovaƟons in the new generaƟon delivery system, including: A proprietary bin shape to opƟmise Ammonium Nitrate flowability, minimise weight, evenly distribute stresses and lower the centre of gravity. Designed to significantly improve reliability, stability, safety, and increase total bulk explosives product holding capacity of up to 20.9t of Fortan™ and 22.5t of ForƟs™. Specially designed augers and significantly increased power capacity to improve delivery rates and allow for new material metering methods. Allowing for accurate Fortan and ForƟs delivery rates of 1100kg/min and 550kg/min respecƟvely. State of the art integrated hydraulic, sensor and control system technology. OpƟmising usability and formulaƟon quality at high speeds. The Bulkmaster 7 also fully integrates with LOADPlus™, a BlastIQ™ enabled smart control system technology, to deliver products transparently and accurately in accordance with site requirements. The BlastIQ System delivers a range of technology soluƟons to improve producƟvity, save Ɵme and reduce the overall cost of drill and blast operaƟons. The Bulkmaster 7 will be progressively rolled out in Australia throughout 2018 and 2019, providing a compeƟƟve advantage to those adopƟng the new technology. Orica delivering a step change in productivity and on bench safety Rockwell / Orica (l-r) ScoƩ Wooldridge (Rockwell AutomaƟon) and Stephen Coop (NHP) NHP appointed as sole distributor for Rockwell Automation products in South Pacific
