68 | ASIA Miner | Volume 15 • Issue 1 | 2018 Events Mining Vietnam 2018 - The 4th International Mining and Minerals Recovery Exhibition for Vietnam – promises to gather hundreds of local and international technology, equipment and service suppliers to support Vietnam and Indochina's mining industry. Vietnam's leading international mining trade show is set to return from 18 to 20 April 2018 at International Centre for Exhibition (I.C.E), Hanoi, Vietnam. The 4th edition continues to converge hundreds of industry movers and shakers from across the region, to showcase their innovative products, equipment and cutting-edge technical solutions catering to the mining, mineral recovery, mineral handling and processing markets in Vietnam and beyond. Mining Vietnam –Resources hub for industry players Mining Vietnam 2018 is anticipated to house over 170 participat- ing companies from 22 countries and regions, featuring nine group pavilions specifically designed for international exhibitors from Chi- na, Czech Republic, Germany, Russia, Singapore and United King- dom. Encompassing up to 4,000 square meters of hall space, the exhibition will highlight the latest mining equipment, technologies and services, ranging from automation, control equipment, engi- neering, to underground mining equipment, minerals processing, software and fire safety. In addition to the exposition component, Mining Vietnam 2018 will present an extensive business matching program, techni- cal presentations and educational seminars, covering the most topical issues in the mining industry, from resource exploration to extraction and beyond to mine closure and management of post-mining issues. Mining Vietnam 2018 Returns to Hanoi The inaugural Indonesia Miner, held on 11-12 April 2018 at The Westin Hotel Jakarta, Indonesia, represents an exciting new event for the country's developing mining industry. Continuing the themes of the Regional Technical Conference series, Indonesia Miner will examine ways in which the industry can enhance its development in Indonesia. The event will feature four conference streams: Indonesia Min- ing Projects, Surface and Underground Mining, Mine Haulage and Mineral Processing. The event will also include a mini exhibition showcasing the latest developments and technology from the event sponsors. Additionally, the event will hold an Industrial Networking Dinner hosted by Djakarta Mining Club and Coal Club Indonesia. Streams The Indonesia Mining Projects stream will focus on the min- ing outlook for Indonesia, including government policies, investment opportunities and updated project showcases. The Surface and Underground Mining stream will explore the latest technological operational developments in blasting, safety, mine design, operation automation and reclamation. It will also fo- cus on improving efficiency and lowering costs in challenging un- derground mining environments. Mine Haulage will focus on real world solutions that help keep operations efficient, safe and profitable. In the Mineral Processing stream, attendees will learn about recent developments, technologies and techniques for mineral pro- cessing. The technical program will focus on practical methods of optimising plant processes to achieve better results from crushing, grinding, gravity separation, mineral liberation and tailing disposal.
