Chief execu- tive officer and vice chairman Tony Manini is now executive chair- man while Peter Bird has joined the company as CEO and has been appointed vice chairman. Previous chairman Peter Pollard continues as a non-executive director. Oracle Coalfields announces changes to its Board of Directors. Roderick Stead has stepped down as a director while Yves Mor- dacq joins the Board as a director. Experienced miner Alex Bates has been appointed to lead the business of Newmont Mining in Australia. He has been serving as acting regional senior vice president. Indo Mines announces the resignation of Darjoto Setyawan as a director following his retirement as managing director - corpo- rate at Rajawali Group. Garry Kielenstyn has been appointed a director of Cokal Ltd. He has been chief operating officer since June 2016 and was previously Cokal's Indonesian country manager. Do- menic Martino has assumed the role of non-executive chairman. Rob Knott has been named execu- tive chairman of GHD, replacing Russell Board, who is retiring. There are three new executive directors - Denise Anderson, who is responsible for US Mid-continent; Iver Skavdal, responsible for US West; and Sheryl Cornelius, who is regional people manager for Asia Pacific. Turquoise Hill Resources announces the re- tirement of chief financial officer Steeve Thibeault effective May 23. The company is searching for his successor. Jeremy Ayre has resigned from his position as a non-executive director of Metals Exploration due to a need to devote more time developing another business interest. Asian Mineral Resources has appointed Duncan Blount as CEO, replacing Evan Spencer. Paula Kember is CFO and corporate secretary, replacing Sean Duffy.
