At the hear t of Europe's mining industr y INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR & CONFERENCE SKELLEFTEƅ, SWEDEN JUNE 14-16, 2016 www.euromineexpo.com GOLD SPONSORS: A t NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES ORGANIZER: PARTNER: COMPANY PROFILE TSURUMI Manufacturing Company, Limited has been man- ufacturing, marketing and selling various pumps and related equipment for more than 90 years with a strong focus on sub- mersible pumps. The company has a vast range of submers- ible pumps engineered to withstand the most rugged mining and industrial applications. All parts that come in contact with fuids are stainless steel with the impeller, casing, motor frame, outer cover, strainer stand and fange made of 316 stainless steel. This factor is particularly important because in recent years run-off and discharge from mines and quarries has caused pollution in many countries. More than 40% of the discharge from mining operations is highly acidic with a pH value less than 4 and this requires more operators to seek out drainage pumps to treat the wastewater. Tsurumi develops all stain- less steel pumps designed to specifcally meet these needs. The company was founded in 1924 at Hanaten-town, Hi- gashinari-County, Osaka, Japan, under the name of Tsurumi Shokai and started manufacturing TDL-series agriculture-use vertical shaft pumps. In 1951 it was incorporated as a limited company called Tsurumi Manufacturing Co., Ltd. the same year it developed 2-stage vertical shaft pumps for construc- tion dewatering use. In 1953-54 it developed the frst sub- mersible pump series. Tsurumi introduced its overseas strategy in the 1960s. Its technical capabilities gained recognition in Asia in the 1970s and then in the United States and Europe in the 1980s. The company sought to enhance the strategy through its Inter- national Sales Division which resulted in successes in felds including construction, civil engineering, mining, industrial wastewater, domestic wastewater, sewage treatment, food control, and facilities designed to bring people into closer contact with water. Today, Tsurumi keeps pace with developments in mining and many of its pumps are interchangeable so that within minutes users can achieve high head or high volume capa- bilities without having to increase inventory investment in ad- ditional pumps. From compact, single phase pumps to heavy duty three-phase pumps with high volume or high head capa- bilities, Tsurumi has a range of submersible pumps designed for tough mining and industrial applications. Tsurumi is active in 45 countries and regions. In addition to sup- porting worksites, its high-performance pumps are widely used in large-scale national projects. Tsurumi submersible pumps have been used at large-scale construction projects, including the Seto and Akashi-Kaikyo bridges, Haneda Airport terminal building, Kan- sai International Airport and Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line. Tsurumi submersible pumps also demonstrate their power in mine applications outside Japan, winning wide praise from users who say "the Tsurumi difference gets more obvious the more severe the conditions in which these pumps are used". Tsurumi has developed in excess of 3000 submersible pump models for use in civil engineering and construction applications. This is evident in their rugged performance, dependable safety and outstanding ease of use. Tsurumi submersible pumps are hard at work in a range of facilities that deal with water. Different job sites and facilities require different pumps and Tsurumi de- velops pumps that meet those needs. Tsurumi pumps for mining applications
