30 | ASIA Miner | Volume 13 • Issue 1 | 2016 Cambodia ANGKOR Gold Corp is utilizing the expertise of Beijing Explo-Tech Engineering Co (BETEC) of China during its 2015/16 exploration program in Cambodia. The work is targeting the Okalla West gold and Halo copper-molybdenum prospects and is aimed at expand- ing geophysical understanding of the 1500sqkm land package. The feld program initially included a 20sqkm induced polarization geophysical survey aimed at defning the size and scale of the main target responses on both prospects. In addition, both regional and detailed mapping along with infll soil geochemistry sampling will be ongoing throughout the season to further evaluate the primary ex- ploration targets. The main follow-up work will focus on the 7.25sqkm copper anomaly with a 0.9sqkm central moly anomaly at Halo and the 2sqkm NW-SE trending gold anomaly with 83% of pan concen- trates containing visible gold at Okalla West. Angkor will also conduct semi-regional feld termite geochemical sur- veys to follow-up stream sediment survey gold anomalies at its Andong Meas Tenement, to the west and northwest of the CW prospect. Angkor's vice-president of operations JP Dau said, "We are ex- cited to be getting back into the feld. We have taken the time over the monsoon season to evaluate our 2014/15 feld data, which has further reinforced the signifcance of our fagship prospects, Halo, Okalla West and CW. "With the advancements made on these prospects this season, our goal is to bring our understanding of these assets to a drill-ready position and explore serious joint-venture interest to take these prospects to the next stage." Angkor's president Mike Weeks said, "I am committed to opening every door I can to identify the most advantageous joint-ventures on our fagship prospects – Halo and CW. Having the BETEC team on site to continue providing us with their world-class geophysi- cal support further emphasises my high expectations for this year's work program." Angkor's seven exploration licences in Cambodia cover 1448sqkm, which the company has been exploring over the past six years. Angkor has covered all tenements with stream sediment geochemical sampling; has fown low level aeromagnetic surveys over most of the ground; drilled 21,855 metres of NQ core in 190 holes; and collected in excess of 110,000 termite mound, and 'B' and 'C' zone soil samples in more than 20 centres of interest over an area of more than 140sqkm. It has also excavated numerous trenches and carried out detailed geological feld mapping. ONGOING drilling by Geopacifc Resources at Kou Sa Copper-Gold Project in northern Cambodia continues to return encouraging inter- sections, including 41 metres at a grade of 1.69% copper equivalent. The program is focusing on the more advanced Prospect 160 and Prospect 150 areas. Work at Prospect 160 continues to intersect thick sulphide intersec- tions and has demonstrated increasing thickness of the dilation zone. This area is expected to form part of a maiden resource and is open at depth and to the northwest. The infll and extensional drilling program is defning a thick zone of copper sulphide mineralization that forms the central core of the miner- alized structure. The current strike length of the Prospect160 mineral- ization is 300 metres and drilling continues to test the depth. One metre splits from an intersection of sulphide mineralization from 55 metres returned 41 metres @ 1.64% copper and 3.58 grams/tonne gold for 1.69% copper equivalent, including 1 metre @ 3.05% copper and 4.05 grams/tonne for 3.10% copper equivalent. The one metre splits for two other holes from the thick central core of the mineralization have returned 18 metres @ 2.56% copper and 7.64 grams/tonne gold for 2.65% copper equivalent; and 27 metres @ 3.48% copper and 6.04 grams/tonne gold for 3.55% copper equiv- alent. At Prospect 150 a very encouraging 17 metre intersection was re- turned from just 19 metres at a grade of 12.38% copper equivalent. This has been drilled over a strike length of 500 metres and down dip for some 250 metres. Recent drilling has targeted a potential feeder zone that lies on the western margin of the known mineralization and is thought to strike north-northwest. RC holes were targeted to intersect the near-surface expression of the zone. As well as the above intersection, this program has returned 5 metres from 53 metres @ 2.28% copper equivalent, 9 metres from 8 metres @ 1.81% and 4 metres from 69 metres @ 1.61%. The next diamond holes targeted deeper mineralization, returning re- sults of 4.6 metres from 87 metres @ 4.76% copper equivalent, 5.3 metres from 83.7 metres @ 3.52% and 5.0 metres from 9 metres @ 2.55%. Geopacifc's strategy is to develop Kou Sa to generate revenue to support an expansion. The company is targeting a kick-starter maiden resource and scoping study as it takes the project into production, with ongoing exploration increasing the scale of the project well beyond the initial resource. Angkor focus on Okalla West and Halo Drilling preparations at Prospect 150 of Geopacifc Resources' Kou Sa proj- ect in Cambodia's north. Continuing Kou Sa drilling success
