Yulan Guo, a director of Novel Sunrise Investments and an executive director and interim CEO of South- Gobi, has been appointed chief fnancial offcer. Earlier, Bold Baatar re- signed as a non-executive director due to other business commitments. Southern Arc Minerals has appointed John Carlile and Morris Klid as directors. David Stone has stepped down as a director but contin- ues as a strategic advisor. Metallica Minerals has appointed Barry Cas- son as independent non-executive company chairman, replacing long standing chair David Barwick who has retired. Simon Slesarewich has also been appointed CEO, replacing found- ing managing director Andrew Gillies, who has retired but continues as a non-executive director. Asia Resource Minerals has replaced its chief executive Amir Sambodo with Hamish Tyr- whitt as part of its refnancing and recapitaliza- tion plan. Hamish Tyrwhitt was previously CEO and managing director of construction company Leighton Holdings. Marcus Engelbrecht has been appointed a non-executive director of Xanadu Mines. He is the nominee of Asia Capital Advisors pursuant to the $13.6 million placement agreement of October 6, 2014. Asian Mineral Resources announces the appointment of Evgenij Iorich to the Board of Directors, replacing Stephen Gill who has retired. Evgenij Iorich has extensive experience in the natural resources sector, over a broad range of bulk commodities, precious and base metals. Dassault Systèmes, the 3DEXPERIENCE Company, recently announced Raoul Jac- quand as CEO of its GEOVIA brand, replacing Rick Moignard, who has retired. The new CEO of Banpu, Somruedee Chai- mongkol, says her strategy is to prepare the company for the expected up-cycle in coal prices and to fnd quick cash by expanding to renewable power projects. She succeeded Chanin Vongkusolkit, a founder and CEO of the company, who stepped down after 32 years in the post. Erdene Resource Development Corp has appointed Layton Croft as a non-executive director. He brings a wealth of experience in the areas of operating public companies in Mongolia, government affairs, investor relations and community development while living and work- ing in Mongolia. The Indonesian Coal Mining Association (APBI) has a new chairman in Pandu Sjahrir, replacing Bob Kamandanu. The new chair is seeking a bigger role in the rule-making process for the country's coal industry. Pandu is president director of Jakarta-listed PT Toba Bara Sejahtra, a subsidiary of PT Toba Sejahtra. Entree Gold has appointed Anna Stylianides to its Board. She has more than 20 years of experience in global capital markets and has spent much of her career in investment banking, private equity, and corporate management and restructuring.
